Press the stitching lines to remove the marks of the heat erasable pen. Align the ruler as shown in the images, draw the stitching lines and sew. Make sure to line up all the corners neatly and press them to make both sides as symmetrical as possible. Pull open the top layer on the right side and repeat the fold bringing the top right corner to the center and pressing it again. Pull open the top layer to the left side bringing the top left corner to the center and press it down into a triangle.
Fold the rectangle in half a second time, press it again and unfold it. Fold the rectangle in half and press it. Edge stitch, all the way around, 0.1cm | 3/64" away from the edge. Trim the excess fabric from the corners. Sew with a seam allowance of 0.7cm | 9/32". Place the right sides of the fabrics facing each other and sew them together leaving a 6cm | 2 23/64" opening.
